Vegan Halloween Treats

Happy Vegan Halloween!

Happy Vegan Halloween!

I had considered taking the time to create some Halloween goodies this year, but I realized that it would be challenging for me to make that happen with all the packing that still needs to be done. Sometimes reality has to take precedence over my love of cooking and baking. So, instead I decided to give you some inspiration for creating some yummy, spooky and fun treats.

Homemade Bubble TeaFrog Spawn Tea
This is especially fun for parties. Here’s a twist for last year’s recipe: make sangria or a reddish fruit punch instead of tea to give your tapioca an even more creepy look.
Sugar CookiesHalloween Sugar Cookies
Have some seasonal cookie cutters? Or have shapes that you can get creatively ghoulish with? Yes? Then just make that glaze orange or black and you’re in business.
Pumpkin MuffinsPumpkin Muffins
This is a really delicious recipe, and I bet that the glaze from the cinnamon rolls recipe would work nicely. If you don’t have any ideas for decorations for the top, just make some decorations out of paper or construction paper (ghosts or black cats), attach to a toothpick, then stick one into the top of each muffin.
Chocolate CupcakesChocolate Cupcakes
This cake recipe would be both delicious and easy to make into cupcakes. I’m thinking you could top this with some vegan gummy worms or make paper decorations like I’ve suggested for the Pumpkin Muffins.

Do you celebrate Halloween? If you do, what do you plan on making this year?

These are really cute: http://www.brightideas.com/bright_idea.aspx?ID=128. I think I may try to make them using your sugar cookie recipe.
